Let's Bike It With The GS - 2. Discovering the world with a 2 wheels bike on my scooter: what a journey of 6 months!

 Hi Internet,

In my previous Article entitled "Let's Bike It With The GS - 1. Introduction", I presented myself about who I am and what impacts happened and made me deciding to discovering the world of bikers.

If you haven't yet read this Article, I encourage you to read it so you can get familiar with it :)

To be continuing on my story, I bold my new scooter in 2015 from the motorcycle dealer in the city of Brussels. As I never experienced it, neither I did ride with a bike in my life, I just said in my mind "look Hamza, you did great things in your life, but there are more to come, and this one is just one of them".
So I rode with my bike from the motorcycle dealer to my house and while riding, I found out one main problem I really got stuck on: when riding and trying to slow down using the brake, my right hand was still on the throttle and guess what... the bike was but keeping riding ahead without slowing down or even stopping like it was supposed to be!

Hopefully, nothing bad happened, I did not get injured, neither being hit or hurt, neither hurting someone or a vehicle. So even I was stuck with not being able to manage my right hand on the throttle while braking, I was kind of happy because I could arrive safely at home!

I was struggling to face with having my hands on the throttle and brake for the first 2 days. After that, I got used to manage it properly so when "speed up" was needed my hand was correctly set up on the throttle and when "braking" was required for slowing down or stopping my bike, my right hand wasn't on the throttle anymore, so as a Pro :) ;)

Few days after, about 2 weeks, I woke up in the morning, put my cloths on, took my bag, get all set with my bike and so I rode by going to my work office. It took me about 15 min to ride 4 Km to get stopped by the police. They pulled me over for a control. I provided them with my id, driving license, assurance... well you know what I'm talking about here :)

After few moment, the Police officer came back to me stating that I will receive a fine...

I was really surprised and got confused because I was all on point with my papers, etc... but then the Police officer explained to me it was because I did not wear the appropriate shoes when riding on a bike...

then I got stuck for a while because this was something I was not aware of. (actually from all the countries I travelled only Belgium requires to wear shoes which cover you up to your ankle). So I got later a fine of 55 Eur which I paid of course.

After getting stuck during this police control, I used to be very keen on what I should wear and have with me when riding on my scooter bike so I avoid getting fined :)

The Adventure with my scooter Kymco Dink Street took about 6 months with which I had the ability to get familiar with my bike when learning and practicing were part of the journey!

6 months passed, and a new chapter came up! To know more, please read my Article 3 !
